British Parliamentary advisors get close view on Kuwait democracy

Is there a real freedom of the press in Kuwait? It was the first question raised by the group of British Parliamentary advisors to a group of Kuwaiti university professors and senior local journalists during a meeting last night at Kuwaiti Journalist Association (KJA). … Speaking with the Kuwait Times, Stacy Hilliard, Media Relations Advisor to Philip Davies MP for Shipley noted, “They (the Kuwaiti Government) believe that we are the conscience of US decisions, so they want us to relay their message to their counterparts in the West.”

The New Times, Kigali, Rwanda

Stacy was interviewed about her work with the Ministry of Tourism and the seminars she was leading for the tourism industry on marketing to the west and re-branding Rwanda. She told the paper the most important thing the industry could do be successful was to work together as one.

Stacy appeared on a panel on 'Super Tuesday' to discuss the 2008 American primaries as a Republican. She discussed the challenges ahead of each candidate and debated the potential outcomes of 'Super Tuesday' and who should be the candidates for each party.

Stacy discussed the effects of the changing landscape of the Republican field to the 2008 Presidential race and its effects on the final race for President. She spoke about the Republicans rallying the troops for the election in November to ensure a Republican victory.

Kuwait Today, In-studio Guest

Stacy appeared on Kuwaiti Breakfast television as the Conservative representative from an cross-party delegation visiting Kuwait. She spoke about the role of an adviser to Members of Parliament and in particular she was asked about being a woman in politics, her response was, "It is no different."

Convicts Handed Keys to the Cells

 

As a media adviser Stacy conducted the research and framed the story on the controversy of prisoners with keys to their own cell. In addition, to appearing in the the Yorkshire Post and the other national newspapers, it was featured on the front page and the opinion section of the Daily Mail.

The Sunday TImes and The Observer

 

Stacy worked with the political  and opinion editors to place a story on the anniversary of the Responsibility to Protect Agreement, with a focus on the international community's reaction to Darfur. The Sunday Times featured the story as a two-page spread, while The Observer placed a letter to the editor.

Avoiding the denigration of our society (ghost author)

…I wish it were the case of just one rotten apple spoiling the bunch, but all you have to do is turn on the news any given night to hear about out of control youths, binge drinking problems in town centres and the like. We must make it known to this government that conservative is not a dirty word and must re-teach them what it means. Conservative values helped make this nation great and a desirable place to live and they can help do it again…
